DARE TO BE YOU

I dare you
To laugh out loud
when no one else is laughing

I dare you
To cry out
When everyone tells you to hold it in

I dare you
to wear that hat…
The one that lights up
and matches the “Ugly Christmas Sweater”

I DARE you…
To be YOU

I love it! But, I am the wrong one to dare because I really do not care what others may think of me! The only time that I care is when it is a one on one arrangement, conversation, or other such situation that involves a trust line between two people to develop.

And I take you up on that dare!! =) This is great. So many people are trying to be like everyone else...from clothes to music to even the way you talk. Sometimes being yourself seems risky...to me anyway. I really like this poem though, great message.
