Again, I wrote this on the beach after my cousin's funeral

With eyes closed gently
listening to the rolling waves
my mind is calm
and I think of happier days.

A time where you and I 
would put aside our cares for a day
we'd walk and talk
the hours away

We'd laugh and sometimes cry
and hug each other tightly
when it was time to say goodbye

My heart longs for just one more day
Maybe I could have helped
and you wouldn't have been taken away.
