Put On Your Clothes, Sweet One

Put On Your Clothes, Sweet One

A Poem by Nipplegrinder

When you started wearing songs
They sounded great on you
When you started wearing sunlight
You were resplendent
When you started wearing darkness
I came for you
When you started wearing shame
I died with you
When you started wearing loss
I kissed your forehead
When you started wearing smiles
I was tearfully joyful
When you started wearing marks
It undressed you
When you started wearing welts
It freed you
Put on your clothes, Sweet One.
