The Jazz in her veins
The Blues in His soul
They dance a wondrous waltz
Twirling in melodious synchronicity
Staccato strikes and yelps
Rhythmic thuds and sharp intake
The breath rushes past her clenched teeth
With pleasing sizzle to His ears
Her tears and sweat
A luscious libation
For an unquenchable tongue
The song, the Duet,
Written on skin
Played, practiced, perfected
Performed and acclaimed
I like the way you open with the music and the dance, then it becomes the metaphor for the relationship.
Very nice write, my friend.
I'm not sure a jazz person and a blues person is a mix that will last long, though! :)

Another great Canadian band is the Headstones - a very hard edge with realy cutting lyrics. Do you know them?
attraction is a funny thing - it swoops in hard and fast and gives even the blandest song a sense of meaning - being caught in the lust of the moment is one of the magical things about being human - the capacity to feel on a physical level should be seized and conquered whenever and wherever possible - I like it X
I don't know why anyone would pass this up without a review. I love the whole concept behind it and the metaphors/similes are superb. 100 from me.
