Snow KissA Poem by VicA kiss in the snow. How romantic.
They never tell of ice,
or how the crunch beneath my feet leaves remnants of a walk with her, warm as her glove pressed to mine. Or even how the silence just gave me a moment to listen to her heartbeat. They never speak of the wind, and how it never spun that night, so the flecks of white quavered to the ground, melting on my brow when my eyes leered towards her. They never pointed out the moon-light, even though it hung above them, pale and striking as her. Lips locked, a single snow flake entrapped, melting between their blissful embrace, just dissolved whispers of what happened there that night. Avowed by only she and I. © 2013 Vic |
