Godsend

Godsend

A Poem by Noah Adair

Godsend

At the perfect,
Most desperate moment,
We found each another.

A dark brown tempest
Pulled me in and
An insane moment
Cooled to reveal
A most mysterious heaven
In your solemn eyes.

It seems an unseen hand
Guided our straying paths
To converge,
But I never did thank
The lord, nor take his
name in vain, for giving me
All the things I wanted.

It’s true, thou mayest
As you choose, my love
But the heart is not broken,
Just quietly redefined
By the choice of forgiveness.

Noah, give yourself and her credit for finding one another. God gave each of us the freedom to choose our time and place to meet. It is never by chance. Sometimes things don't always work out. But the fact that love brings with it forgiveness, even in disappointment, is always the right choice. Nice writing, keep compassion in your writing.
