Dragon-TrainA Poem by Noah Adair
It does not clatter,
this train of scales and breath, but glides- a ribbon of windows aglow like fireflies caught in smoke curling from her throat, with song and steam. She bends where rails would break, slithers where iron will fail, following rivers and mountain trails, drawing ancient maps across the sky. Lovers do not board her. They are gathered- by chance, by longing, and the quiet belief that the heart itself can heal. So when night falls, and the dragon-train coils gently along the earth, hearts can still feel the warmth of her light, dreaming of the next dawn she will carry forward. © 2026 Noah Adair |
