Sonnet of Spider

Sonnet of Spider

A Poem by Tracey Hays

Black hearted spider, venomous fighter,
Deadly fangs, and poisonous veins.
A horrifying stigma, such an enigma.
O' eight legged freak, your mind so bleak,
You creepy crawler, and deah up hauler.
Of son does shine and moon does glow,
A bitter tonic, inside you flows.
So dark and frightening, never enlightening.
In the shadows where you wait,
All life how passionately you hate.
A silent death you bite and chew,
Until the skin turns pale and blue.
Black hearted spider, venomous fighter,
Deadly fangs, and poisonous veins.

A very musical piece of words. It seems as if this was written by looking at an image. This brings back personal experiences of fear for readers, even if those experiences are not eight-legged.
