Faraway Lands

Faraway Lands

A Poem by Tracey Hays

Beyond the seas,
There lies a land.
Heaths untouched by mortal man,
Neverending the green of trees,
Where the old oak still sees.
To find the answers you seek,
To the trees you must speak.
A land always vernal,
The trees live eternal.
And young saplings grow,
Their stories untold.
When I found the old oak I saw,
That he began to fall.
From him I was told,
Stories of old.
To the Ancients I returned,
With the knowledge of the old oak.
