Decessus Insusurro

Decessus Insusurro

A Poem by Tracey Hays

A demonic voice whispers,
It calls your name.
But all that go with it,
Are never the same.
It knocks on your door,
To come into your heart,
Only wishing to tear it apart.
To darkness it takes you,
Out of the light,
An unholy essence fuels its might.
It devours your soul,
For you to behold,
Now all things begin to unfold.
And out of the darkness,
You begin to rise,
Only hoping to steal lives.
From the void you plunder the night,
Wishing only to destroy the light.
With new power you begin to reign,
Only taking lost souls in pain.
Out on a balcony you see someone fall,
Screaming deathly trying to call.
From this moment you taste their fear,
Knowing yourself, their end is near.
