Term Oil

Term Oil

A Poem by Tracey Hays

Words and arms and faces bleed,
A blinded farmer sows the seed.
Lies and deceit, from his tongue they seep.
History does turn in its grave,
A bloodied pulp, self-righteous crave.
Take the dagger in the hand,
Enter exited from the promise land.
Burn the bush reclaim your rights,
Don't go down without a fight.
Reclaim your rights,
Fight! Fight!
A demon devil in disguise,
Blinded are the people's eyes.
A land set in trepidation,
Corrupt leaders blind a nation.
Sticks and stones do break bones,
And words can cut throats.
A mistakes has been made, like a paper with a wrong grade.
Burn the bush reclaim your rights,
Don't go down without a fight.
Reclaim your rights,
Fight! Fight!
