Negative Self-EvaluationsA Poem by NANAA moment of low-moral
It's not that I'm not right,
It's just that everything I try is wrong. It's not that I'm a fake, It's just that I'm not really very strong. It's not that I'm too proud, It's just that I'm too scared to let you see What's eating me alive inside, the mask that's me That isn't "me". The mask you're seeing everyday is beautiful and strong and proud. The person wearing it is fun and likes to sing and laugh out loud. But do you notice now and then that she'll disappear? She's sitting on the bathroom sink Trying to wipe away each tear You don't know it, but she's scared that you'll think that she's dumb. She doesn't understand, She's numbed herself and morphed into someone She wants you to believe she is all the things you see each day The only way that she gets by Is by pretending it's okay. It's just another day is all. Another really stupid day.
