I like that about you…
Biting lips as soft as rose petals
The whisper of midnight lashes
On high sculptured mahogany cheekbones
A slight lift of corners worried
By tiny luminescence
I like that about you…
Hard little points on the softest mounds
Straining against confinement
As arms rise above head
Taut midsection begs a kiss
Unaware of silent explosions
I like that about you…
Supple compliance under insistent mouth
Little moans meant to cause upheaval
Come in sharp, soft gasps of breath…
The whisper of midnight lashes
On high sculptured cheekbones
In deep sleep
This is amazing-I love it when someone can write something sexual and intimate-and still keep an artistic element to it. When intimacy can be captured 'beautifully' and eloquently, it's always amazing and worthwhile, in my opinion.
Wonderful imagery plus a very intelligent and sexy backbone makes this poem a great read. Keep up the great poetry because you've got a gift to combine your so many different talents into great poems.
Very nice write! Your intelligence is all over this piece! Very sexy and seductive wordplay to go along with incredible, vivid description! I hope to read more of your work.......
I loved the ending where you used the same lines but in a different way. It wasn't too graphic, since I consider myself to be a little conservative. I enjoyed it, and it makes me want to liberate myself a little and perhaps not be too shy to writing something that is sensual but not overly sexual. Thanks for the inspiration.
It's beautiful it allows the writer to imagine for themselves who you are talking about. The lips as soft as rose petals was my favorite mmm haha. Very well written thanks for sharing :)
I like this about the poem...
Just kidding, though that was one of the things that I liked about this piece. The repetition here serves to emphasize a point rather than just lengthening a short work or being redundant. I like the subtle sensuality of the poem, the controlled passion within. Rather than being raunchy and merely using words for shock value, you find more sophisticated ways to share your feelings. I like that. Thanks for sharing.
I try to be a poet. My writing is my therapy I think...it started to save me since I was 14 years old...and it hasnt lost its grip on me yet. I enjoy that I can share my mind with complete strangers a.. more..
