Society's Toy

A poem about how you can't just go out and be yourself, society is too judgmental now days.

Paint a mask, a smile for all
Dress up real pretty, just like a doll
Stand up straight, look oh so tall
Walk with pride, careful not too fall
Don't go out and try to be yourself
You're just another toy on society's shelf
Don't tell them a story, it's all too sappy

Spectators tell you if you end up happy
