you saved me

this poem is one I wrote after I cleaned up my act, My younger sister and I shared a room for a little over a year, and during this year I was very suicidal, and seeing my sister always stopped me.

You saved me

without even knowing 

simply by you sleeping in the same room

you saved me.

when I thought it all was over,

I did not want you to clean up my mess

when I thought about your face in the morning

I decided that tonight was not the best

without even knowing it

you saved me

in your precious, child -like sleep

in your own bed

and I in mine

You saved me

Your sweet blond curls falling over shoulder

Your legs hanging off your bed

your talking in your sleep

You are my sister

and you saved me. 

though you may never know 

just what you did

by simply sleeping

I promise I will always 

remember what you did

just by sleeping

You saved me

thank you. :) my sister saved me in more ways then she will ever know. I am so happy That I would come home from work and see her sleeping. it gave me hope that I could someday get over my inseurities and I would show her that someday when she wants to give in that her sister was a fighter.
