The Moment

She knows the moment well,

She's played it over in her head,

Broken by sounds she can't repel,

Her heart's as heavy as lead.

 

She slowly looks into his eyes,

Her heart beats fast,

Aware of a past full of sighs,

She wants this to last.

 

Suddenly her mind gets lost,

The daydream blocks everything else out,

The hair in her eyes gets tossed,

They lean in without a doubt.

 

She feels the soft touch,

A connection impossible to sever,

It's like she can't have too much,

And they should stay like this forever.

 

The gentle break of two lovers,

The moisture she can still feel,

The feeling soared above any others,

Because this time, it was real.

It was like being in a dreamscape. The details were marvelous. I love the ending stanza...it's softly touching and caresses that place inside out hearts that we want to believe in and hope that when we open our eyes ... all is as we loved it to be.
But as soon as it's there .. it's gone again. Lost moment to never be shared again.. (you just have to create more moments then..lol ;) Very pretty pic of hope at it's best. (hopefully I read it right though..my thoughts are of a darker nature lately)
