The MomentA Poem by OdayinShe knows the moment well, She's played it over in her head, Broken by sounds she can't repel, Her heart's as heavy as lead.
She slowly looks into his eyes, Her heart beats fast, Aware of a past full of sighs, She wants this to last.
Suddenly her mind gets lost, The daydream blocks everything else out, The hair in her eyes gets tossed, They lean in without a doubt.
She feels the soft touch, A connection impossible to sever, It's like she can't have too much, And they should stay like this forever.
The gentle break of two lovers, The moisture she can still feel, The feeling soared above any others, Because this time, it was real. © 2012 OdayinFeatured Review
