I love him.

I found this in one of my old notebooks about a boyfriend and I completely forgot about it. But it's almost Valentines day so why not?

I love him

not because he's sweet as he should be

or because his love for me was genuine 

But because his eyes were so blue

when I saw then I thought of the sky 

on a clear summer day

because his jokes aren't funny

but they make me laugh anyway

I love him because his smile makes me smile

Not the one e makes when he tries 

but the one that's because he's generally happy

I love him because he made me put my guard down 

willingly when no one else could 

even when they tried their hardest

I love you.
