DrowningA Poem by The Girl Who Loved Too Much
I’m stranded in a deep sea of my own tears,
Struggling to stay afloat, The darkness tugging at me, Barely holding on, ready to let go. I see you from a distance, You pretend you can’t hear me, As I beg and plead for help, You walk away and leave me, I’m losing hope, I’m weary, I look up and see you again, You’re holding a lifesaver, But you won’t throw it in, My arms are too tired, My legs so weak, My heart full of sadness, I just want to sleep, As I slowly start to sink, I see your face once again, “Please just throw me the raft, You don’t have to pull me in.” © 2014 The Girl Who Loved Too MuchReviews
