Annabel's brotherA Poem by AllyJust a morbid poem. The only tolerable from the notes I found.
Brother is in the woods again
Looking for games to play He won't let me come with him He says, "Maybe someday." Mother and father are upset They want to send him away Where will brother go? Will we be able to play? He lets me in his room Secrets he wants me to see He takes out a box "Come on, play with me." The bones are white and smooth Bleached and baked by the sun "You put up a fight, Didn't you little one?" Mother is screaming Daddy paces the floor "He can't stay in this house, No, not anymore." They are sending him away They claim something's wrong So alone, I'll play the game That my brother had loved For so long. © 2013 Ally |
