Cannot Begin

A poem I wrote a few years back that I still really like

I cannot begin to tell you

Of all the nights up alone

And falling apart once again

Of all the pointless scars

The fragile smiles and

All the broken remarks

I cannot begin to tell you

Of all the wasted tears

And all my silly fears

Or of my broken heart

And all the bloody f*****g years

I cannot begin to tell you

Of who I used to be

Or who I want to be

I cannot begin to tell you

Of all that I've given up

Of all the dreams that died

I cannot begin

For then I couldn't end

And where would we be

Lost deep within me

So do not ask what is wrong

For I cannot begin
