Finding a friend's suicide note on the ground.....

ILLEGIBLE

It almost went unnoticed.

So thin and chalkboard common,

Lying silent and still as the air in June.

 

It could have gone unnoticed.

Who would have thought to look

For it there beneath the amber light.

 

I wish it HAD gone unnoticed.

His final words scrawled in defeat....

Illegible to everyone but me.

Heartbreakingly sad, but I have to tell you something, Sharon. A dear friend and neighbor of ours committed suicide three months ago. We found him. He did not leave a note and I think that is even worse than leaving one. Powerfully emotional write. Lydi**
