love yet to be....

 

SECRETLY HID

writing the words
on the pages torn
holding the hand
     from which love was shorn  

 wishing on stars
that were never born
laughing at jokes
from the oft forlorn

meet me half way
was the silent plea
ever in hopes
that perhaps you'd see

only the love
that was meant to be
secretly hid
to be never freed
