As regards to the dog in the photo, though comical as it may seem, there is a quite serious underlying message for folks with infants and pet dogs who all cohabit. Many dog attacks on little children are due to a build up of jealously through neglect, as 'new baby' is getting all the attention! Can happen with any breed though some are more jealous than others, and may I stress doesn't make them any lesser of a dog or companion, but you wouldn't like it yourself if your loved one suddenly began 'sharing ' their lives with a stranger !
Asides for all that, a quite exquisite, poetic rendition on the 'joys' of parenthood! ( Been there, had the T-shirt)

We had a small dog when we brought our son home from the hospital and that dog was SO jealous. He never offered to nip at the baby, but being a male dog, would "mark his territory" all over the house. We finally had to sell the dog. ~SP
Ahhh The joys of parenting ! I doubt Henry Mancini had this in mind, or for that matter ANY parent before they became parents. But what we all wouldn't do to do it all over again...
Thanks Sharon, your a poetic gem !

Thank you so much Helena! I sometimes wish I could go back to those days when the children were small...especially now that I've lost my son to death's unfair grip. ~SP

It's so true....children are a blessing, but they do change everything. Sleepless nights and hectic days are what they bring with them. Well written, Sharon. Lydi**

Thank you so much Lydi for a beautiful review! ~Sharon
we are together and have those moments often, then we have kids and those moments are but a fleeting memory---and we miss them so much...but then the kids grow up and leave, and we wish for that commotion in the house once more.
