BEFORE IT BIDS ADIEU

BEFORE IT BIDS ADIEU

A Poem by Miss Sharon
"

The best laid plans of mice and men...

"
Women typing on the notebook
 BEFORE IT BIDS ADIEU

It started as a simple plan
Without a tear or stain.
It took no time at all to set
And proffered little pain.

But as the day wore on and on
A funny thing took place.
That plan took flight of its own will
And left without a trace!

I set to find it with a chance
To clip the wings right short,
And offer it a place to stay...
If there were soft retort!

But then alas it seemed too good
To be a simple thing.
My plan was lost within the room
Of written words that sang.

I sat me down with pen and pad
To scribe the plan anew.
I’ll be a bit more careful now...
Before it bids adieu!

Take solace Sharon, I don't think I've ever been able to complete a piece that I planned. It always turns into something different by the time I finish it.
As always a pleasure to read.

I hear ya bro! Thanks for commenting my friend. ~SP
yes, the best laid plans...i think writing just happens most of the time...some of us if we try to plan, it impedes the words rather than letting them flow out...
