I Will

I Will

A Poem by Drea Dawson
"

Winter 2006

"

Well I got something in my peripheral vision.
And it keeps coming closer and closer into my center view.
I will grab onto it with that intensity that I am known for.
I will discover it, like a pirate on a ship and I will bring it to shore.
I will unveil it for all the world to wonder over and then I will keep it close to my chest.
I will whisper to it whilst I sit in traffic.
I will sing to it when Im in the shower.
I will look for it in the sunset and then describe it here, for all to read.
I will be changed by it, and yet, remember who I really am through it.
This is where my happiness lies,
in sandy beaches, blowing songs through seashells,
THIS is where it waits for me...

Inspiration. Muse.

I like this. Capturing it and holding it close and meditating. Letting it have its way with you for growth and inspiration.

Really nice poem. It describes something I go through...whether that was your intent it is that to me.

This poem describes the life of a Pirate somewhat, in the sandy beaches line.
Life is full of discoveries waiting for that treasure chest to open.
Well done.
