Every day she walks by
All I can do is sigh
Why can't she be my friend
Why does she have to pretend
To like me and enjoy my company
Do you see the tears in my eyes
The damage done from your lies

Every day she walks by
I always have to say goodbye
She no longer looks at me
She has nothing to do with me
Is this what you wanted
"I don't like you" she said

Every day she walks by
I'm almost about to cry
Why can't you see the man
Who gives you his hand
Instead I am alone in my mind
The love I can't seem to find

Oh help me get through this time
My spirit is empty and I need a sign
Can't you see the tears I cry
Can't you feel inside this empty sigh
Why is it me that always says goodbye?
Our friendship was just one big lie
