A Reason To Live

A Reason To Live

A Poem by Endless Rain

You gave me a purpose to live
You gave me a reason to forgive
You gave me a reason to hate

I'm asking you what do I do now that you're gone
(I watch the stars fall close to dawn)
I'm asking you who do I turn to now that you're gone
(I watch as I try to sing this song)

Give me something I can hold on to
(Something that is true)
Give me something I can care for
(Give me air and open a door)

I'm surrounded by darkness
(I feel so helpless)
I'm surrounded by broken memories
(My heart no longer believes)
I'm alone in this song
(Where did I go wrong?)
Give me a reason to continue this song
