~Time Stopped. Hearts Broke. Remember This Stand-still Day.~

I wrote this the day before 9-11 this year. It isn't the first time I wrote something for the occasion.

That one day where time had stopped
Ashes fell in heaps like snow, bodies loitered our grounds
That fragile bubble we created of peace, now gone. Popped.
Cries, and pleas. Screams and Sirens. Sorrow and Pain are the only sounds


The twin towers fell like twigs in a hurricane
The victims almost oblivious that today was their last.
The scene was too perfect. Enough to drive you insane
Dropping towers, Crashing explosions. The plane was flying way too fast.

Children at school are frightened.
A crying child asking what happened to mommy or daddy
A feeling of fear, of dread crept over us all, and only worsened.
Insecure, Unprepared. A mastermind plan, perfect completely.

Red For Love
White For Remembrance
Blue for Tears.

Let us take the time to remember the lives we lost
The tears that fell like jewels from a broken chest.
The love and peace it all had cost
Let them lie in peace, in honor, and love as they rest.
