Tantrum by Night

Tantrum by Night

A Poem by Jonhoi Vaughn

Lightning punctured a pregnant cloud,
Coercing its profuse bleeding and moans of agony.
Moans that shatter the air waves,
Forcing the hand of heaven to draw a dark curtain across its face;
An attempt to muffle the swelling cries above.
To hide Her epileptic temper

there's something electric about using the word epileptic. your anthropomorphic cloud gets full of lightning and is throwing a hissy fit while humans are prone to the hormonal struggles and carry within themselves their own voltage. not to mention the pregnancy bit. triply effective personification.

Mother Nature's hormonal and pissed off. I can well imagine. I've wanted to pitch a fit of that magnitude a time or two before . . .
