Winter's BaneA Poem by P.H. CarverThank you Nia, for your inspiration.Streaks of golds and reds dashed the silvery branches, Preparing for winters reap, The time is nigh, For nature to prepare for sleep. Purples and reds, Turn to browns and fall, As slowly growth comes to stall. Creatures big, creatures small, Some seek caves, Some seek holes, But all are yet preparing for winter’s toll. Some hunt for game, And kindle flames, For they know what is approaching, Winter’s bane. © 2011 P.H. CarverAuthor's Note
