The Problem with Wisdom

uhh, i dunno...

The problem with Wisdom

       is once you have it --

you no longer care

       about possessing it.

 

The problem with Love

       is once you have it --

your only desire

       is to give it away.

 

The problem with real Beauty

       is that once you have it

you only see it in others & accept your own

          as merely a fact.

 

We set out to win these Awards

       of Wisdom, Beauty & Love

and if we are Lucky enough to achieve them

   we no longer care

       about possession

          of gifts.

 

We only care about others

   We only want to give to others

because we know our needs are already met

       by a benevolent

          and thoughtful

                     God.

 

 

The divine Ego

   that drives us to selflessness

       must itself

          be consumed

if we are to complete

   the journey home...
