If only gravity changed direction!

Something weird out of my head!

Millions of faces 

In a crowded ship 

Rocking and Swaying 

Each saying their own thing

Some scary others are sweet 

Some stink of vile breath of rotten meat 

Life is too short and this world is too big!!

Each one's foot dug deep 

Each one confirming their own safety 

They are fools to think they've got a grip 

Each one anchored to their beliefs 

But what they forget is the gravity ...

If gravity changed direction 

No one will have a ground beneath their feet 

Scattered specs in this Universe so vast 

Each one will float 

And many will be dragged to Black Holes!!!

this is like a Titanic of life, capsizing...each passenger trying to survive in his or her own way...digging in...some fight harder than others to survive...and some arrogantly think they deserve to be saved and will be...the rude awakening is that the water is quite freezing and there aren't enough life jackets to go around.

sooner or later we will all drown in circumstance; we must hope that the darkness underneath welcomes us to a better place.

This poem wanders around a bit, sometimes afloat, sometimes ashore, always threatened by the anarchy of ungrounded support, but I get the basic premise. All society - localised, specialised, nation and international - is fragile. All rely on consensus to some extent to flourish. With so many conflicting ideologies, it`s surprising we muddle along so well. P.
