Life is wonderful, 

I kept my eyes closed. 

It is easy, 

I took the crooked road. 

And now, 

Strange sighting 

of an upside down rainbow

Its easy to be blinded by what life throws at you...
when you're preoccupied with other matters...
they are not really your intended route...
and now that you view things in reverse they make more sense...

When life was wonderful and the narrator at her prime she kept missing all the wonders in it oblivious to all things life has to offer. When things were easy, the narrator chose the sinful roads of life not enjoying the purity of the moments, the sincerity of love in all its layers. And now as a sign of losing hope and oppurtunity for a rainbow represents hope and oppurtunity but an upside down one is possibly the opposite. Thought provoking. Excellnt...:)......

wow! This is an exact opposite interpretation of what was on my mind when I penned those words! But hey how strange, exact same meaning but extremely contradictory situations! Life is beautiful as it is but the beholder always kept her eyes closed - never though she could see its wonders. She could have strolled an easy alley, but she chose to make it worse. Now that the vision is nearing some sort of clarity, she wishes to see an inverted rainbow. She wishes circumstances to change and feel the wonders. Upside down represents the weird nature of life changing its course!
