GOODBYE

Saying goodbye to bestfriend of 41 years.

I am enjoying the change in the rhythm and quality of life, I now experience
Finding now I have more resilience.
My friendships are no longer of superficiality
No more shallowness mingled with my reality.

 

The reestablishment of contact with my past and only bestfriend
Has not turned out the way I can contend.
Now it's time to move on
The longing for my bestfriend of childhood, now gone.

 

Returning from hiatus of deciding what to do.
I am no longer happy with you.
I had hoped for but found to no avail
The repairs of this bond we once shared.

 

I AM DONE...

 

You are no longer what I once knew
or
Is it now that we are older, I clearly see the truth.
Those memories will always be with me; but of
You I must now be set free.

 

In the devotional period of sweeping the emotional cobwebs of my life
This older me cannot deal with your emotional strife
So now dear friend with all the love I have inside
I bid you an bittersweet farewell......GOODBYE.
