Son of a b***hA Poem by PAPPACASSJust a crazy idea that came to my headSon Of A B***h By Shawn P Cassidy I remember the night when I looked to the skies, A shimmering light pulling fear to my eyes. It twisted and flickered with supernatural shine, A beacon of terror disguised as divine. My breath turned to frost as it hovered above, A nightmare pretending to fall from love. Then the light split open--a silent, sharp tear, And something stepped out that was never meant here. A little green creature with hunger in its stare, Its shadow stretched long in the cold midnight air. I bolted in panic, heart ready to burst, But the creature gave chase like it wanted me first. Its footsteps were tiny but fast as a curse, Each second behind me grew steadily worse. Lasers shot past me in murderous streams, Lighting the forest in flickering beams. I stumbled and scrambled, no plan in my head, Just trying my best not to wind up dead. I turned in the darkness, prepared for the fight, And faced the small monster that fell from the light. It froze for a moment--a glitch in its mind, A second of stillness no hunter should find. I lunged with the terror of a man near his end, And struck the invader who dared to descend. His weapon dropped hard from the grip of his hand. I blinded his eyes with the kick of some sand. I walked from the forest with trembling breath, A survivor who stared down an alien death. And though I escaped with my life from that glitch… I’ll never forget that relentless son of a b***h. © 2026 Shawn P. Cassidy. All rights reserved © 2026 PAPPACASS |
