Bubbles
By Shawn P Cassidy
I slide in the bath,
let the warm waves breathe,
let the whole damn day
finally loosen its teeth.
Then"
from the deep"
comes a wobbling parade,
a bold little fleet
my backside has made.
They rise like rebels,
shimmering, proud,
each one escaping
a secret too loud.
A wiggle"
a wobble"
a tiny restart,
tiny ambassadors
from the kingdom of fart.
And I watch them ascend
with a grin I can’t hide,
because joy sometimes comes
from the bubbles we provide.
