Cosmic loveA Poem by PAPPACASSOne of my few non-rhyming poemsCosmic Love By Shawn P. Cassidy Before the world had a name, a spark drifted through the void, searching for its reflection. I was that spark" wandering through constellations of memory, through lifetimes folded in light. I dreamed of a soul whose gravity would draw me home. Friendships fell like meteors, love flared and vanished like dying suns. Then you appeared" not as a promise, but as a star I had always known. Your light reached me before I understood what light was. You opened my eyes to the unseen, my mind to the infinite, my heart to the quiet pulse of creation. The boy dissolved; a man stood in his place, formed from the dust of your devotion. Now even the cosmos cannot unmake what we are. Our love burns beyond the reach of time. When the heavens fold and silence returns, I will still speak your name" the word that means home in every language of the stars. © 2026 Shawn P. Cassidy. All rights reserved. © 2026 PAPPACASS |
