What did you see?

I watched 3 dogs for a friend the other day.

Livvie snuggled up to me in bed.

I was half asleep..and then she began barking loudly.

I sat up and looked at her.

Her body tense, her ears back, she seemed afraid.

Her gaze fell intently across the room to the bathroom.

I got up and closed the bathroom door, and padded across the carpet back to bed.

She immediately calmed down.

In the morning, she began to bark again.

Once again, I sat up dazed rubbing my eyes.

And the bathroom door was open.

My stomach dropped.
