Let me be your light 

Find your truth

You're homeward bound 

I walked through my sadness. 

Through my numbness. 

And I heard your voice. 

I stopped. 

Dead in my tracks. 

My skin of sadness 

Shed. 

And I kept walking. 

You came to my sleepy little town. 

So I saw you. 

And felt butterflies.

You touched my arm. 

And thanked me for coming to see you. 

We stood there. 

And you smiled. 

I had no idea. 

The summer after 

I walked in the rain. 

And I made my way to a tent.

A tent full of people. 

No seats were free. 

So I stood at the entrance. 

Drops of water hitting my head. 

Suddenly I felt eyes. 

And there you were. 

Staring intensely.

Right into mine. 

My heart stopped. 

Was that a mistake? 

I saw you again in the winter. 

In my sleepy little town. 

Your smile grew bigger. 

And in the spring..

You said it was good to see me

Again. 

I can see 

All the love

In your eyes...

And would you believe?

That you saved me?
