How do I Love Thee?

one of my favorite poems had a format similar to this so i made a poem up like it but my own intrepatation

 

How do I love thee.

Shall I hold you close,

Forcefully?

Hold you indefinitely,

Till you can’t leave me?

 

Shall I murder for thee?

Turn a breathing body into death for thee?

Make it so no one can hurt thee?

 

Shall I divulge all my secrets

From the darkest depth inside of me,

Shall I do it for thee?

 

Shall I give to thee?,

Every breathe and heart beat that I keep,

Give every last drop of blood for thee,

And hold me tenderly, till I’m all that you see?

Tell me,

 

How do I love thee?

 

With my body?

Walk up and down the streets till the early morning,

Giving and losing my morality,

I’ll do it for thee,

Just ask me.

I live for thee,

You are all that I see

 

So tell me, how do I love thee

Do I question and rebuff God for thee?

And burn forever in hell for thee,

This I willingly do for thee

 

Shall I move the world for thee,

Turn every stone over,

Darken the skies,

Uproot all the trees,

Destroy every soul for thee?

Ask me,

And you will see,

I will do it for thee,

That is how I shall love thee
