Cunning Fate

Cunning Fate

A Poem by John Alexander McFadyen

Cunning Fate

Arachnid like you lay in wait.

Your lair, carefully cultivated, awaits your groom.

Three times you have struck

To devour still warm flesh;

Death not pronounced

And yet you spring your trap.

Sweet sticky mucus enwraps your easy prey

With an awesome poison;

Paralysed to surrender, you drag another victim

Helpless in your loins

To the cunning fate you choose.

This is awesome. I plucked it out of the pile at random - such powerful visual imagery. A sneaky one for sure.

About
Well, have a long and complicated story and started it as an autobiography on Bebo but got writer's block/memory fogging. People liked it though and kept asking for the next chapter! fools.. more..
