Savage BargainA Poem by John Alexander McFadyenSavage Bargain
Where minds can meet and appreciate the pain There is no science to explain the calm. No need to delve and sweat the truth Where mutual bonds pull brutal knots. That we can doubt our waking lives, So fearful in denial, yet take the risk we would. But to tip these scales and drink desire That such sweet surrender offers sinners, And in such flesh-full fantasy Throw caution to the winds that tug our mortal souls, We drive a savage bargain.
