I Spied You A Siren

I Spied You A Siren

A Poem by John Alexander McFadyen

I Spied You a Siren

I took you to heart,

Held you warm in my soul

But threatened the sanctuary

You couldn’t let go.

So you left me grim hope

With no beacon to guide

And I crashed on the rocks

Of that perilous tide.

But I clambered to safety

To avoid being drowned

So you merely weighed anchor

And slipped away with no sound.

As I watched your sail go

In the gathering gloom

I spied you a siren,

A true lady of doom.

About
Well, have a long and complicated story and started it as an autobiography on Bebo but got writer's block/memory fogging. People liked it though and kept asking for the next chapter! fools.. more..
