My Time

My Time

A Poem by John Alexander McFadyen

My Time (II)

It is a fallacy,

a fantasy,

a stupidity

of mine

to have believed

your promise.

For your cemetery

of delusions

is full of corpses,

and I will not be

one of your dead.

I am no longer

a victim of circumstance,

a pawn,

a piece to be moved

at your will.

I am me,

a man of passion;

and this

is my time.

Beautifully written! Your writing voice stands loud and clear. Very strong and powerful. I wouldn't change any of it.

About
Well, have a long and complicated story and started it as an autobiography on Bebo but got writer's block/memory fogging. People liked it though and kept asking for the next chapter! fools.. more..
