Writing

A Poem by John Alexander McFadyen

Writing

I feel the beauty of inspiration,

words that spill like saliva

from epileptic lips.

A convulsion of emotions,

intellectual spasms,

so intense

as to break my spine.

And in my fugue,

 a clarity of spells;

like some volcanic cum

that leaves me smooth

and lets my recovery begin,

till consciousness

alerts my sleeping soul,

charges my dead heart

and gives me hope again.

Coming from someone who exudes sensuality that is a major compliment!!!
beautiful poem. I think this is the mantra of all writers. the flickering flame that burns within each of our hearts. good job :)
