A Brief MomentA Poem by John Alexander McFadyenA Brief Moment There is no beauty in parting. Love it seems is all imagination when you are alone; hard, icy solitary thoughts. You feel the leaden, empty brick of regret at such loss. What had been will never be again as we return to our lone state, a single entity in time. Someone we once knew, were intimate with, indeed carnally so, but never took the bait, becomes a simple memory. A cold and frozen thought, a stranger we once passed and who smiled back, and made us feel the warmth for a brief moment. 6th September 2010 © 2012 John Alexander McFadyenReviews
