Autumn

Autumn

A Poem by John Alexander McFadyen
"

Oh how I miss the sun!

"

Autumn

September winds

whip up the clouds

to leash the sun

and shade the god

that bronzed my skin.

I feel the icy claw return

to claim revenge

for idolatry days

spent naked,

my skin exposed

to the adultery

that I did commit.

I miss the warmth too.
Not that we had much of that this year ...
