What Would You Have Me Do?A Poem by John Alexander McFadyenWhat would you have me do? Your mystical magic drifts across my universe. Bright saffron fronds that colour my world. Cumin and ginger and cinnamon; flavours so vivid and full, they excite my tastes and leave me wanting more. Soft fabric Indian prints bursting with shape and form and texture; sensual to the touch. Your naked breasts so confident; so proud. Lean lines that Titian portrayed, exact. Lips whose experience betrays such modesty and demure grace as to confound and tease and confuse. An enigma in being; a puzzle to unravel, to comprehend, to trust. So what would you have me do to bring certainty to my mind and give you my true heart? 27th January 2010 © 2012 John Alexander McFadyen |
