Survival II

Survival II

A Poem by John Alexander McFadyen

Survival II

I just escaped

the executioner

a whisper before

the guillotine

plunged.

Heavy, shiny steely blade

aimed

to sever my head

from my torso

as chopped cabbage.

Like a nimble feline

I count down my lives

as each tortured failure

takes its toll

and I plunge to Earth,

parachute like,

landing on all fours

again.

How long can this last?

not many lives left now

for even a cat

cannot live forever.

About
Well, have a long and complicated story and started it as an autobiography on Bebo but got writer's block/memory fogging. People liked it though and kept asking for the next chapter! fools.. more..
