November SunA Poem by John Alexander McFadyenNovember Sun The November sun deceives for in its promise is little warmth. No comfort for cold skin or tired flesh. Summer gone without a fight, in creeps the ghost whose passage leaves will fall to. Who descends on us like fog and brings cloud upon cloud to sadden the spirit and drive us to layers of clothes and a life indoors with windows closed to nature. 22/09/12 © 2012 John Alexander McFadyenReviews
