November Sun

November Sun

A Poem by John Alexander McFadyen

November Sun

The November sun deceives

for in its promise

is little warmth.

No comfort for cold skin

or tired flesh.

Summer gone without a fight,

in creeps the ghost

whose passage leaves

will fall to.

Who descends on us like fog

and brings cloud upon cloud

to sadden the spirit

and drive us to layers of clothes

and a life indoors

with windows closed to nature.

Our seasons are different. It gets extremely hot here in November and everyone's in shorts. This is lovely, no surprises there.

Thank you Dark light. I am more a sun chaser. Should have been a bear and hibernate all winter.
I enjoyed this.. I love the change of seasons, and the smell of Fall, that feeling of it getting colder and change... change is good! well penned :)

Thanks Heather. Me I hate winter. Love the sun!
I rly love this poem it is in all it's escence very professional and a wonderful piece of art. However it already has a title so there is really no need to put one above the poem as well and the date would probally be better served to be in the description than in the poem. You may want to replace one of those things with a fitting picture that is aesthetically pleasing as to grab the readers attention.

About
Well, have a long and complicated story and started it as an autobiography on Bebo but got writer's block/memory fogging. People liked it though and kept asking for the next chapter! fools.. more..
